CMU Insights: Distribution Revolution at Sonic Visions and Digital Music Days
By CMU Editorial | Published on Wednesday 13 November 2019
The Association Of Independent Music today publishes ‘Distribution Revolution’, a brand new report produced by CMU Insights that reviews the music distribution sector and maps the digital music supply chain.
It explores how the role of the music distributor has evolved over the last two decades as distribution companies have expanded the ways that they work with independent music businesses, increasingly moving into so called artist and label services.
You can register to get a free copy of the report on the AIM website right now.
If you are heading to the Sonic Visions conference in Luxembourg this week or the Digital Music Days conference in Lisbon later this month, CMU’s Chris Cooke will be presenting a brand new speed briefing all about the report.
He’ll provide a concise overview of the sector, explain the key trends, and run through the things artists and labels should be considering before picking a distribution partner. If you’re at either of those events, do check it out.
You’ll find more information about Sonic Visions here and Digital Music Days here.
