Other notable announcements and developments today…
• Deezer recently announced an alliance with phone network Three in the UK which will see the tel co’s customers get the streaming service free for six months. Future tie-ups are also planned. Deezer UK boss Christian Harris is “thrilled”. Obviously.
• Poliça will release a new album called ‘United Crushers’ on 4 Mar. Here’s the first track from it, ‘Lime Habit’.
• The first song from the final School Of Seven Bells album has gone online. Here is ‘Open Your Eyes’.
• Ulver have a new album called ‘ATGCLVLSSCAP’ coming out on 22 Jan. Here’s a clip of a track from it, ‘Cromagnosis’.
• Theo Verney has released a new song called ‘Sailed Long’, pre-empting live dates supporting Mikal Cronin, starting tonight at The Scala in London.
• The Gazette will release a new EP called ‘Ugly’ through JPU Records this week. Here’s a trailer for you.
• Crossfaith will be touring the UK in March next year, starting at Chinnerys in Southend on 16 Mar and finishing up at Electric in Brixton on 31 Mar.
