Other notable announcements and developments today…

• The world at large has, as yet, failed to see the benefit of high quality digital music services. But Tidal apparently has come up with a plan to change that – ultra high quality digital music. That should do it.

• I was just wondering what Katy B was up to the other day. And now we know, she’s been working with Four Tet and Floating Points on this. She’s going to release a collection of collaborations with various producers (an album, you could call it), titled ‘Honey’, next year.

• Femme has done a Christmas song. It’s called ‘Santa (Be Good To Me)’. It is nearly Christmas now.

• La Sera will release an album titled ‘Music For Listening To Music To’ on 4 Mar. From it, this is ‘High Notes’.

• Sigma have announced four UK shows next year. Two shows come at the end of March, the other two at the beginning of April. What fun.

• Oh, I forgot to mention earlier, Katy B will also be headlining the Brixton Academy on 14 May next year. OK, cool. Thanks.

• The winners of the lifetime achievement prize at the next European Festival Awards are Jean-Louis Brossard and Béatrice Macé from Les Trans Musicales in France. They’ll collect their prize at the ceremony in Groningen in The Netherlands as part of Eurosonic Noorderslag on 13 Jan.
