Steve Arrington & Dâm-Funk

Ariel Pink’s ‘Baby’ affiliate Dâm-Funk, aka the Stones Throw-signed Damon G Riddick, has co-sired a new collaborative LP with Steve Arrington of 1970s/80s disco boogie band Slave.

In the making since 2010, ‘Higher’ features several of the greatest song titles I’ve seen this year/ever, and a ‘For The Homies’ ‘edit’ by Peanut Butter Wolf, who inspired the pairing in the first place by giving Riddick a live Slave DVD.

Playing ahead of the ‘Higher’ release on 7 Aug, this is ‘I Be Trippin’:

I Be Goin Hard
