Rounding up the latest gig news…

Hey! The Saturdays are going on a tour. A greatest hits tour, no less. To coincide with a greatest hits compilation, would you believe? It’s all going on at Saturdays HQ.

The as-yet-untitled album will be released on 11 Aug, with a new single called ‘Not Giving Up’ – because they aren’t splitting up, right? – out this very Sunday. The tour then kicks off on 7 Sep in Glasgow, and will end up in Plymouth on 23 Sep. On 19 Sep, they’ll play Wembley Arena, by the way. And because everything has to have a fucking teaser trailer now, here’s a fucking teaser trailer for the fucking Saturdays’ fucking greatest fucking hits fucking tour:

Next up, producer Theo Parrish has announced a live spectacular, to be held at The Barbican in London on 12 Jul, which will see him play with a live band for the first time in ten years. Imagine if he didn’t do that again for another ten years? You’d feel silly for missing it. So don’t. You’ll find more information and tickets here.

Sisterly duo The Pierces will be over in the UK in June to promote their latest album, ‘Creation’. The album’s out on 2 Jun, while the trio of shows will hit Koko in London on 11 Jun, Manchester’s Club Academy on 12 Jun, and Oran Mor up there in that Glasgow on 14 Jun. Tickets are on sale now, here, and here’s the video for new single ‘Believe In Me’:

Much sooner than that, Alkaline Trio will be back in the UK. Their upcoming tour starts in Oxford on 15 Apr. That’s really very soon, isn’t it? They’ll be hanging around until 27 Apr, with a London show at The Forum on 26 Apr. All the dates are listed on their website. How handy.

And finally, Little Dragon (pictured), who were last seen calling up each of their fans in turn to tell them about their new album, ‘Namuba Rubberband’. That’s out on 12 May, and they’re playing Somerset House’s Summer Series on 20 Jul. Details on that here. And before you go, take a look at this video of them performing ‘Klapp Klapp’ on ‘The Late Show With [and soon to be without] David Letterman’:
