Imogen Heap partners with Pledge on mega-boxset pre-order
By Chris Cooke | Published on Friday 6 December 2013
Imogen Heap will work with PledgeMusic on a pre-order direct-to-fan campaign around a deluxe box-set edition of her forthcoming album ‘Sparks’, it’s been confirmed.
And when we say deluxe, it’s a substantial product that includes, in addition to the new long player, twelve data DVDs full of content, a video DVD, a big fat book, a pack of playing cards, some vinyl and access to some exclusive downloads. Which hopefully makes the £215 price point seem like a good deal.
Confirming that the super box set release was being sold via a Pledge pre-order campaign (other cheaper pre-order products are also available), PledgeMusic MD Malcolm Dunbar told CMU: “We’re delighted to be working with Imogen Heap. Her visionary use of innovation and desire to truly engage her fanbase is to be admired – hence we’re pleased we can offer her an opportunity to bring on board PledgeMusic’s ever expanding worldwide community too”.
Meanwhile Heap herself added: “I’ve never released anything other than through the ‘usual channels’ and am looking forward to seeing how PledgeMusic’s community responds to the goodies we’ve set up”.
