For those who take an interest in these things, Jesse Rose is someone who has been around on the house scene for some time. The fact he lives in Berlin might be one reason he isn’t known too much outside of those circles over here, but by teaming up with Joe Goddard from Hot Chip he might extend his reach with this new single. The track contains that Hot Chip trick of spelling something out over a funky groove – this time provided by Rose – and to be honest it wouldn’t sound too out of place on the Chip’s last album. Thinking about it, whether people forget Rose’s name will probably depend on the strength of the album because at the moment I’m filing this single under ‘Hot Chip Curios’. IM
