Joe Jackson blames wife for Jacko’s death

Joe Jackson has told the News Of The World he partly blames his wife Katherine for the death of their son, seemingly because he knew things weren’t quite right in the Jacko camp prior to the late king of pop’s untimely death and – him being rather estranged from his son – he appealed to the singer’s mother to step in. He seems to be saying Katherine Jackson didn’t do enough to question Michael’s dependency on dangerously strong prescription drugs.
The Jackson patriarch told the tab: “[After Michael’s death] Katherine was weeping uncontrollably and highly upset. But I didn’t give her a hug because I was mad at her crying. I said, ‘If you had listened to me, Michael would be living now’. I kept thinking about the times I had stood in front of her saying something was wrong. I couldn’t bottle up my feelings. Katherine didn’t say a word – I had to get away from her. If she’d done what I asked, Michael would be here today. I am incensed with her. She could have made a difference. In Michael’s final months alive I said to her, many times, that I couldn’t get through to him – and that she needed to help her son”.
All that said, Joe does admit he himself could have done more to tackle Michael’s problems. He conceded: “I tried to help Michael, but I feel I could have been more aggressive in getting access to him”.
As previously reported, Jackson Snr is planning on suing Conrad Murray, the doctor accused of negligently administering the shot of propofol that killed Michael Jackson.
