Marr does more rumour denying

Following the news that Johnny Marr hadn’t given much thought to the possibility of a Smiths reunion, as reported yesterday, comes the revelation that he’s evidently now had a think about it, because he has released a statement denying those rumours that the band will reform.
As previously reported, new rumours of a Smiths reunion had surfaced following reports Morrissey and Marr were on better terms.
But Marr told NME: “The stories circulating about a Smiths reunion are, as usual, untrue. I’m currently very excited about writing and recording with The Cribs for a new album to be released next summer and we’re playing shows in February, so going back in time isn’t in my plans”.
