Vanessa Reed, Executive Director of the PRS For Music Foundation said: “As we move into year two of this unique talent development fund it’s incredibly exciting to announce the latest list of talented artists who’ve been selected from another very high standard and, diverse batch of applications”.
Meanwhile, Arts Council England Chief Exec Alan Davey added: “The Arts Council is thrilled that, a year in, the Momentum Music Fund is going strong and continuing to support exciting emerging talent. The Arts Council is proud to be a partner in this very popular programme, having supported 34 bands so far, and congratulate those who have been successful in receiving Momentum funding in this latest round”.
In addition to this latest group of acts to receive new funding, a previous winner, Bear’s Den, has received an additional £2500 from funding partner Deezer.
Bear’s Den frontman Andrew Davie said: “The Momentum Music Fund has made an amazing difference for us as a band and we’re honoured to be receiving the Momentum Deezer Award”.
The deadline for the next round of funding is tomorrow, so you’d better hurry up if you want some of that cash. The next opportunity to apply after that ends on 12 Aug. More info here.
