More speakers added to MusicTank piracy debate
By Andy Malt | Published on Tuesday 21 May 2013
A new spate of speakers have been added to the line-up of the next MusicTank debate, which will look at advertising on file-sharing sites, asking if it’s really a problem and, if so, what can be done about it.
As previously reported, a keynote to kick off the event will provided by singer-songwriter David Lowery, the frontman of Cracker and Camper Van Beethoven, who has been particularly vocal recently on the issues of piracy and digital licensing through his blog, The Trichordist.
Also already announced was Google’s UK Policy Manager Theo Bertram, who, along with Lowery, will also be joined in the debate by BPI chief exec Geoff Taylor and artist manager James Barton.
The event will take place at Fyvie Hall in the University Of Westminster on 28 May. More information here
