Naked photo guy to photo naked people at Big Chill
By CMU Editorial | Published on Tuesday 6 April 2010
Yeah, aren’t these naked photo projects getting a bit passé? Well, if you don’t agree and you fancy posing nude for artist Spencer Tunick in one of his “look at all those naked people” art shots, then get ye to the Big Chill festival, where the American snapper will be creating his latest nude landscape.
It seems the location for the Big Chill festival, the Eastner Castle Deer Park, is the main attraction for Tunick to the project. He told the BBC: “For me to be able to create one of my artworks in such a beautiful landscape is a real privilege. I’ve never carried out an installation at a European music festival before. I’m looking forward to doing a fantastical work, celebrating the body at play and interacting with such a unique setting”.
This year’s Big Chill will take place from 5-8 Aug, with Massive Attack and Mia among those already confirmed to play. This is the first festival since Festival Republic acquired the brand, of course.
