Natalia Kills changes name following X-Factor sacking

Oh hi, I heard you were still calling Natalia Kills by that name, and I just wanted you to know that everyone is laughing at you behind your back because of it. Because she is now called Teddy Sinclair. I mean, she has been for a year. Though I suppose she’s only just gone public about it, so maybe you could use that as an excuse.

What do you mean you don’t know who I’m even talking about? Of course you do. She is (was) British pop singer Natalia Kills, aka Candy Rapper, aka Natalia Keery-Fisher, aka Mrs Teddy Natalia Noemi Sinclair. She hit headlines earlier this year when she and husband Willy Moon (aka Willy Moon) were sacked as judges from the New Zealand version of ‘X-Factor’ for shouting at a contestant. Said contestant, you may remember, had stolen Moon’s trademark ‘haircut and suit’ look.

Announcing her name change on a new Instragam account, she said: “A year ago when I got married to Willy Moon, I took his last name (Sinclair). For a long time, the friends and family closest to me have called me Teddy, and my husband decided it would be beautiful to spend the rest of my life with my most intimate name united with my new married name. So, for a year I have been Mrs Teddy Natalia Noemi Sinclair and I’ve never felt so natural, honest and empowered. And finally I’m ready for you all to address me personally as I feel we are so close and I am so grateful for your support and love. I adore you all… call me Teddy… call me Natalia… call me crazy. As long as you call”.

Her old nataliakills username on Instagram has now be taken up by a fan, who posted a screengrab of the message, which was otherwise hidden from public view.
