Orbital ‘stops working’, Paul Hartnoll goes on solo

Brit dance machine Orbital has “stopped working” for its co-creators Phil and Paul Hartnoll, who’ve decided to log off from the project (again) and move on to projects new. So basically, the Orbital bros have split. Again.

This is ‘again’ in light of the Hartnolls’ first split back in 2004, after which they reconciled in 2012 in time to appear at the Paralympics Opening Ceremony, and to release an LP in ‘Wonky’.

And whilst it’s all over (for now) Orbital-wise, Paul Hartnoll is going to release a solo record titled ‘8:58’, this via ACP Recordings on 16 Feb 2015, and is also going off on a solo tour (also in Feb 2015) of the UK, listings for which are on this page.
