Rounding up the latest release news…

Paolo Nutini has announced his coming-soon third LP, ‘Caustic Love’, with a song titled ‘Scream (Funk My Life Up)’. Whilst I can barely write that with a straight face, Paulo will, no joke, release the ‘sexy’ new single – a kind of cod Rolling Stones groove-in – on 30 Mar, spilling his ‘Caustic Love’ all over the shop on 14 Apr. Hear the track of which I speak here:

Canadian band Timber Timbre are streaming a sleek yet slightly steamy new track, the title single to their new LP ‘Hot Dreams’, to pave the way for the latter’s big release via Full Time Hobby on 31 Mar. Bearing in mind that, and the fact that TT play a pair of UK dates at London’s Scala (16 Apr) and Manchester’s Roadhouse (17 Apr) – listings here – let’s take ‘Hot Dreams’, the singular single that is, for a spin, immediately:

As well as a headlining set at this year’s very great Great Escape festival, Kelis (pictured), we have to keep it mind, also has a new LP, ‘Food’, on her horizon, coming out via Ninja Tune on 28 Apr. She revealed its tracklisting yesterday, and this pic of herself looking uncertain in some kind of shipyard. In line with the whole ‘Food’ motif, the tracklisting reads like a shopping list, so make a note of it here:

Jerk Ribs
Breakfast
Forever Be
Floyd
Runner
Hooch
Cobbler
Bless The Telephone
Fish Fry
Change
Rumble
Biscuits N Gravy
Dreamer

The xx-esque London alt-pop group Arthur Beatrice did some unveiling of their own quite recently, too, taking the lid off the nice new clip for their pleasant new single ‘Midland’, which will arrive by the grace of Polydor, as part of the band’s first LP ‘Working Out’, on 24 Feb.

Look at it now via Gorilla vs Bear:
