Live Review: The Cribs at The Great Escape 2010 on 13 May

Despite this being their first UK gig of the year, the Jarman brothers have put quite a few shows under their belt since inducting guitar legend Johnny Marr into the band.
The new songs sound great and the duelling lead guitars lend themselves well to each other, while the classic Cribs anthems that have earned them such loyal and adoring fans filled The Pavilion with an excitingly electric atmosphere.
Strangely, Marr has quite an understated presence around the stage, though I suppose the twins’ charm and charisma is a difficult thing to even consider trying to match. AS
