Vigsy’s Club Tip: Soundcrash at The Royal Albert Hall

By | Published on Friday 18 November 2016

Submotion Orchestra

The Soundcrash team have managed to take over the Royal Albert Hall! And, going from strength to strength, they’ve roped in an impressive line-up to join them.

The Submotion Orchestra will headline, presenting their blend of electronic bass music, ambient, jazz and dub style, while one of the world’s best hip hop groups – The Pharcyde – will be jetting in from LA for an exclusive set; expect classics from ‘Bizarre Ride II’, ‘Labcabincalifornia’ and more.

The Hidden Orchestra will also unveil a new AV show, and singer Andreya Triana attends with her extended band for a live soul set. A favourite of mine since a few years back, Triana’s beautiful soulful sound sits on the left side with output on Ninja and other labels.

Tying things all together, Henry Wu will bring his skills to the ones and twos in between the live sets, and after, with his nu soul flavours.

It’s only a shame it’s a school night.

Tuesday 22 Nov, Royal Albert Hall, Imperial College Rd, Kensington, London, SW7 2AP, £22.50-£55.50, 7.30pm-11pm. More info here.
