50 Cent has been told to not even try to contact the mother of his ten year old son, and to surrender any guns he may have lying around the place, in a restraining order issued against the rapper at the request of his ex-girlfriend Shaniqua Tompkins.
The court order relates to the long running dispute between Tompkins and Fiddy, real name Curtis Jackson of course. Tompkins claims that while Jackson pays maintenance for the upbringing of their son he has reneged on a past financial commitment he made to her. Meanwhile, when the house where she and her son live - a property owned by Jackson - burned down last month, she told reporters: "He said that he's gonna have someone come kill me and watch what he does, and this is what he did".
Jackson's lawyer said he would contest the injunction, adding that "to my knowledge, [Jackson] has no guns". He also confirmed that the rapper intended to sue his ex for defamation, presumably in relation to those implications made by Tompkins that Jackson was in someway involved in the fire at her home.
Commenting on the defamation lawsuit, Tompkins' lawyer said the action was "completely baseless" and "retaliatory", adding: "It's nothing more than an attempt to rehabilitate his image".
