A Place To Bury Strangers

A Place To Bury Strangers' self-titled album gets its long-overdue UK release next month; the reviewer recommends the track 'Fix the Gash In Your Head'.

Having made one of the finest records of last year in their eponymous debut, I'm fervently awaiting the reaction to the long overdue UK release of A Place To Bury Strangers' album next month. A masterpiece in industrial noise that's as much influenced by Joy Division as Jesus and Mary Chain and Throbbing Gristle, it's a record full of unhinged aggression and blisteringly paced fuzz. Newcomers should head for 'Fix the Gash In Your Head', their most immediate song, which buzzes with feedback tweaked guitars, stuttering drum loops and demonic, blackened synths. Utterly mind blowing, make this one recommendation you don't miss.
