AFI pull out of Big Day Out

AFI have withdrawn from the 2006 Big Day Out festival because album work has overrun, and organisers are seeking a replacement for the Australasian dates.

AFI have pulled out of the 2006 Big Day Out festival, due to work on their album overrunning and touring plans consequently being put on hold. Festival Organisers are looking for a replacement, but it's still a great line-up in any case with White Stripes, Iggy & The Stooges, Franz Ferdinand, Kings of Leon, The Go! Team, The Mars Volta and The Magic Numbers all set to appear. And the dates of the festival, in case you'd forgotten, are:

20 Jan: Auckland Ericsson Stadium

22 Jan: Gold Coast Parklands

26 Jan: Sydney Showground

29 Jan: Princes Park South

3 Feb: Royal Adelaide Showground

5 feb: Claremont Showground
