Alan Confrey dies

Alan Confrey of Irish folk-punk band Blood Or Whisky has died of a heart attack aged 33, shortly after the band returned from a Scottish tour with Stiff Little Fingers.

Alan Confrey of Irish folk-punk band Blood Or Whisky has died from a heart attack at the age of 33. The band had only recently returned to Ireland following a Scottish tour with Stiff Little Fingers when Coffey passed away at his home last week.

A post on the band's website reads: "Just to let everyone know that tragically our friend and fellow band member Alan Confrey died on Thursday night of a heart attack at the young age of 33. We had just arrived home that day from the SLF tour so it's a consolation that he died at home. Anyone who knew Alan knew that whatever he did it was always at 100%."
