Albarn says no Blur without Graham

Damon Albarn says Blur will not record again unless Graham Coxon returns, while Gorillaz plan a silhouette-based live show for 'Demon Days'.

Damon Albarn has told Billboard that there'll be no new releases from Blur unless Graham Coxon returns to the fold, although he may not want to hold his breath, as Coxon has already said that he has no plans to record again with the band. Albarn said: "I'm waiting for Graham to talk to me again. I'd love to see if we could make another record. I miss playing live in something that I grew up in. I do feel it's a shame that we didn't stick to it. Hopefully, we'll play together soon. As musicians, we need to spread peace and love." And music, obviously.

Meanwhile, Albarn is, of course, concentrating on a live set for new Gorillaz album 'Demon Days', released 23 May. The singer said "It will all be done by silhouette. It would be one where the lights never come up. So, if Dennis Hopper [who appears on the album] were to walk on stage, you would know it's him by his voice alone, as well as his silhouette. It will be like those old cut out silhouette portraits everyone used to get."
