Alfie had a near miss at the weekend when their tour bus was written off following an accident as the band travelled from Nottingham to their next gig in Glasgow. The bus hit a car that had been involved in an earlier incident and been left abandoned in the middle of the road. The driver was taken to hospital suffering from back pain, and the band all sustained minor whiplash.
A statement on the band's website says: "The band were all asleep in their bunks and were clearly awoken as a result of this incident. Fortunately the driver managed to control the coach and bring it to a standstill without any major injuries being sustained."
