All Tomorrow's Parties UK 2004 to take Directors Cut format

All Tomorrow's Parties UK returns to Camber Sands in 2004 for its fifth birthday, with two weekends of curated days, with directors Barry Hogan and Helen Cottage curating the final day.

Despite postponements in the US, the UK version of All Tomorrow's Parties festival has confirmed it will returns to Camber Sands next year to celebrate its fifth birthday with an event entitled The Directors Cut.

Over two consecutive weekends (26-28 Mar & 2-4 Apr 2004) the festival will feature a selection of previously invited UK & US curators with the last day of the festival curated by the directors themselves; Barry Hogan and Helen Cottage of Foundation.

Each curator will choose an entirely new line-up over the two stages for one day each, and have all confirmed to perform on the day that are curating, with the exception of Barry and Helen.

Weekend One: 26 Mar curated by Mogwai, 27 Mar curated by Tortoise, 28 Mar curated by Shellac. Weekend Two: 2 Apr curated by Stephen Malkmus, 3 Apr curated by Sonic Youth, 4 Apr curated by Foundation.

Full line-ups are expected shortly.
