Amplive, who, as you'll no doubt remember, did that remix of Radiohead album 'In Rainbows' last year, has produced a new remix, of MGMT's 'Of Moons, Bird & Monsters.
The second song the producer has remixed from the band's debut LP 'Oracular Spectacular', the track features choruses from some chap called Mistah FAB. Oh, hang on, he must be actually famous, he's got a Wiki entry. Okey dokey, he's an MC from Oakland in California, and has released a number of records via Mac Dre's Thizz Entertainment. So there you go, if you didn't know who he was, you do now. If you did know, you can sit there complacently sneering at my ignorance.
Back to the main subject of this story for a moment, before we finish: Amplive is expected to release some more high profile mixes shortly, among them reworkings of tracks by Tokyo Police Club and Jamie Lidell.
