Appleton on being the bird in the song

Nicole Appleton told The Sun she cried when she first heard Liam Gallagher's song Songbird, which he wrote about her.

Nicole Appleton told The Sun yesterday that she burst into tears when she first heard Oasis's Liam Gallagher penned ‘Songbird’ because it is apparently about her. "Normally I only cry while slicing onions but the first time he played it to me I burst into tears. I'm very chuffed. I feel very special. It's amazing to have something like that written for you by the person you love. I close my eyes and can still remember exactly when he played it to me the first time. It was amazing.”
