Babeheaven return after four years with ‘Beloved’ - an intimate track built on soothing keys and Anderson’s soft but assured voice. After cancelled tours and time out, ‘Beloved’ doesn’t try to reclaim ground. Instead, it offers a new starting point - careful, quiet and completely sure of itself

It’s been nearly four years since we last heard from Babeheaven. In that time, the West London duo - vocalist Nancy Andersen and producer Jamie Travis - quietly stepped back, took stock, and, in their own way, started over.

New single ‘Beloved’ is the sound of that reset. No blaring comeback, it’s a soft, unhurried track that leans into space and simplicity, written and first recorded by Andersen at home, her first time handling writing and production alone.

Built around a dry, close acoustic guitar line, the song also adds warm, minimal keys and subtle ambient textures. Nancy’s vocal stays calm and clear throughout; steady rather than showy.

Later, Travis added light bass and brushed drums, recorded in the attic studio where the pair first started working together. The full track is understated but deliberate, no big hooks or choruses, just careful arrangement and a strong sense of tone.

After cancelled tours and time out, ‘Beloved’ doesn’t try to reclaim ground. Instead, it offers a new starting point - careful, quiet and completely sure of itself.
