🎧 Approved: BXKS

BXKS has never been one to chase the hype. The Luton rapper has built her name on precision, both in flow and vision.

While much of her earlier work moves with the pulse of the dancefloor, new track ‘Flashing Lights’ floats in a different frequency: a stripped-back, strings-led instrumental by TSB and El Londo lays the groundwork for a more introspective turn. There’s still the bouncy, deft ease to her delivery, but here it’s in service of something softer, more considered.

Visually, the self-directed video, shot in her hometown, nods to UK rap lineage. It’s less about spectacle, more about statement.

For an artist who’s always insisted on autonomy over her sound and story, ‘Flashing Lights’ is BXKS making space for stillness, and letting her lyricism breathe.
