🎧 Approved: Earthly Measures

London duo Earthly Measures step out from behind the decks with ‘From Earth’ - a six-track EP fusing Afro-Latin rhythm, UK club energy and rich live percussion. Lead track ‘Que?’ (featuring OKRAA) is bold, borderless and built for movement

🎧 Approved: Earthly Measures

Best known for their globally-minded label and event series, also called Earthly Measures, this London duo now step into the foreground with ‘From Earth’, a six-track debut EP landing this week via Oath.

It’s the first time they have released a project outside their own label, choosing to partner with Oath for their debut EP as a duo. Which is a statement move.

Lead track ‘Que?’ is a collision of rhythm and atmosphere - breakbeats meet live percussion, while Colombian artist OKRAA adds ambient vocal layers and synth textures. A chopped Fela Kuti loop pulses beneath it all, less a sample than a structural heartbeat. The result is bold and detailed, rooted in Afro-Latin cadence but shaped with UK dancefloor instincts.

Organic and electronic, introspective and physical, this is globally-tuned club music built for heads and feet alike. One to watch.
