There’s a grime under the fingernails of Fitzroy Holt’s sound: blues in its bones, punk in its pulse. It’s got the kind of ragged energy that recalls The Black Keys or The Kills, but with an unpredictability born from Black Country grit.

New single and first release via 25 Hour Convenience Store - the label founded by Gary Powell of The Libertines - ‘Around The Wrekin’ is a surge of stoner-rock riffs with punk momentum.

Named after a Midlands saying for taking the long way round, it’s a fitting nod to Holt’s path so far - playing any venues that will have him, honing his craft via the road weary grind of endless touring, maintaining his artistic integrity despite his outsider status, all the while hurtling towards whatever comes next.
