Georgia has always made dance music with heart. A London-born singer, drummer, producer and lifelong studio head, her records pulse with the joy of movement - whether itâs the club-laced euphoria of âSeeking Thrillsâ or the shimmering alt-pop of âEuphoricâ, co-produced with Rostam.
Alongside her own output, sheâs quietly become a go-to collaborator for the likes of Mura Masa, Gorillaz, Shygirl and Olly Alexander, as well as having writing credits on Shania Twainâs number one comeback âQueen Of Meâ.
Now sheâs back with âWanna Playâ, her first solo track in two years - and itâs an electrifying return to her analogue synth roots. Written at a âcrossroadsâ moment in her life, the track bolts forward at 160bpm, fusing early Knife-inspired glitch with the darker textures of deep-cut Depeche Mode.
The production, sculpted with long-time collaborator Mark Ralph, is spiky and elastic - a tight, playful electro-pop rush that dances on its toes.
âItâs a bit of fun reallyâ, Georgia says. âI wanted to explore my love for synths again!â That sense of joy cuts through - from the rubbery basslines to the twitchy rhythms - making âWanna Playâ feel like both a fresh chapter and a return to the source.
