A self-taught multi-instrumentalist with synaesthesia guiding his ear, Paris-born polymath Max Baby stitches hazy guitars, panting, chugging rhythms, and peculiar textures into something both shadowy and luminous, defiantly singular.

His debut EP ‘Out Of Control, Into The Wall’ landed last year, establishing him as one of the most intriguing and criminally under-rated new voices on the fringes of alt-rock. New single ‘Feet’ finds him leaning into obsession and surrender, that messy zone where pain and pleasure overlap.

The track is about “chasing a limit and not realising you’ve long since crossed it”, he says, “getting high off the tension, finding intensity in a connection that leaves you in awe or submission”.

It’s about “rejecting boundaries, living raw, authentic, a little fucked - even if it hurts”, he adds. “It’s invasive and intimate. Almost dangerous”.

The track shuffles along on sparse percussion and warm basslines before exploding into a gloriously unhinged, kaleidoscopic guitar solo. Equal parts tense and euphoric, it’s a song that gets under your skin and dances there.
