Australia’s The Belair Lip Bombs - Maisie Everett, Mike Bradvica, Jimmy Droughton and Daniel “Dev” Devlin - first came together in Melbourne suburb Frankston at DIY venue Singing Bird Studio. Eight years on, they’ve honed a toe-tapping indie rock that sparks goosebumps, the kind that could fill a stadium.

Their self-coined “yearn-core” mixes quick-footed rhythms, warm, fuzzy guitars, and Maisie’s cathartic vocals into songs that feel both carefully crafted and effortlessly alive. It’s jangly, euphoric and somehow breezy without ever feeling lightweight.

New single ‘Hey You’, taken from upcoming album ‘Again’, spins a looping synth into a jubilant, almost 80s melody. “Having a synth loop driving a whole song is something that we’ve never done before”, Maisie says.

Dev adds, “We leaned into that and pushed to make the song bigger than anything else on the album”. It’s a track that shows the band stretching their sound without losing the scrappy charm that first made them.

After a string of US dates, they’re heading to Europe in November, including their biggest UK headline show yet at London’s Scala on 28 Nov.
