Australiaâs The Belair Lip Bombs - Maisie Everett, Mike Bradvica, Jimmy Droughton and Daniel âDevâ Devlin - first came together in Melbourne suburb Frankston at DIY venue Singing Bird Studio. Eight years on, theyâve honed a toe-tapping indie rock that sparks goosebumps, the kind that could fill a stadium.
Their self-coined âyearn-coreâ mixes quick-footed rhythms, warm, fuzzy guitars, and Maisieâs cathartic vocals into songs that feel both carefully crafted and effortlessly alive. Itâs jangly, euphoric and somehow breezy without ever feeling lightweight.
New single âHey Youâ, taken from upcoming album âAgainâ, spins a looping synth into a jubilant, almost 80s melody. âHaving a synth loop driving a whole song is something that weâve never done beforeâ, Maisie says.
Dev adds, âWe leaned into that and pushed to make the song bigger than anything else on the albumâ. Itâs a track that shows the band stretching their sound without losing the scrappy charm that first made them.
After a string of US dates, theyâre heading to Europe in November, including their biggest UK headline show yet at Londonâs Scala on 28 Nov.
