Brazil-born, LA-honed and now New York-based, Winter is the dream-pop project of singer and guitarist Samira Winter. Over the past decade she’s carved out her own lush, shoegazey corner of the indie scene; with a sound that’s beautifully understated, fuzzy and wistful.

Her new single ‘Hide-A-Lullaby’, featuring Tanukichan, drifts slow and gauzy through the subconscious with feather-light vocals, smouldering guitar and a quiet flirtation with heartbreak.

“The song explores themes of the inner self-sabotager, the secrets hidden in the corners of the mind, and the dark forest as a symbol for the subconscious”, Winter says. Tanukichan’s velvety voice is the perfect foil for that imagery.

A short film blends LA River performance shots with glimpses of Winter’s creative circle, making it a soft, smoky and very watchable taste of her upcoming album ‘Adult Romantix’.
