Arcade Fire deny soundtrack work

Arcade Fire's Win Butler says the band is not scoring any film, though he, Regine Chassagne and Owen Pallet may contribute instrumental pieces to Richard Kelly's new film.

Arcade Fire have denied that they are working on the soundtrack for Donnie Darko director Richard Kelly's new film 'The Box'. Writing on his blog on www.arcadefire.com, frontman Win Butler said: "Arcade Fire is not doing the soundtrack to any film. Regine [Chassagne], Owen Pallet and I may do an instrumental piece or two for Richard Kelly's new movie. We met [Kelly] at a show this year and hit it off, but we are not planning on doing any major work for a while".
