Approved: Grisly Faye

Electronic musician Margaryta Kulichova – who records as Grisly Faye – had a busy end to last year, with the release of two soundtracks for films in her native Ukraine. But she still found time to also release one of her best singles to date, ‘Fables’, which hopefully signals that we’re edging closer to her second album – the follow-up to 2016’s ‘From Far Away’.
Having recently moved to Edinburgh to study sound design and composition for film, ‘Fables’ is aptly a track about new beginnings. It is filled with swelling synths, a sense of optimism and an underlying rumble of trepidation.
