Approved: Portishead – SOS
By Andy Malt | Published on Thursday 23 June 2016
One of the highlights of Ben Wheatley’s movie ‘High-Rise’ was Portishead’s cover of ‘SOS’ by Abba, which the band recorded for the film’s soundtrack.
Portishead had previously said that the track would not be available outside the film itself. However, yesterday it was uploaded with a video to YouTube, marking what would have been the 42nd birthday of the MP Jo Cox, who was murdered in her constituency last week.
The video closes with a quote from the politician, “We have far more in common than which divides us”.
Don’t forget to vote today. It’s important.
