MIA completes “last LP”, warns Americans they might not hear it
By Andy Malt | Published on Thursday 5 May 2016
MIA has completed what she says is her “last LP”. Although US fans shouldn’t get too excited about a tour in support of the album, as she doesn’t think she’ll be let in again. She’s not that confident the album will be released in North America at all actually. I probably shouldn’t have mentioned it. Sorry Americans.
“I am handing my last LP in to my American label this week”, she tweeted. “It’ll be up to them if it’s released. I don’t have visa [for the] States to promote or speak!”
“Can’t tour the US without a visa”, she continued. “Might have to start writing songs for DJ Khaled and Selena Gomez to get heard”.
I love it when a plan comes together. Well, whatever, here’s some recent-ish MIA music to listen to while we wait to see what happens…
