Richard Ashcroft, whose latest single 'Music Is Power' is out on 17 Apr, has announced that Razorlight and The Feeling are to support him at that previously reported gig at the Old Trafford cricket ground on 17 Jun. More guests are expected to be announced shortly.
Elsewhere in Ashcroft news, the singer is to take part in a charity football match against Germany alongside former soccer stars Paul Gascoigne, Chris Waddle, Graeme Le Saux and Matt LeTissier, plus England rugby player Lawrence Dallaglio, boxer Nigel Benn and lovely actor Sean Bean. The lovely Boris Becker (yeah, lovely... watch They Think It's All Over if you don't believe me) is leading the German team for the match, which will take place at the Madejski Stadium in Reading on 3 May. Proceeds from the event will go to the Red Cross and the Bobby Moore Fund.
