Ashlee Simpson's manager father, Joe Simpson, has demanded the plot of her first movie is changed so that his daughter does not have to play a lesbian. According to gossip site Pagesix.Com Mr Simpson thinks playing a gay role in her debut movie might damage Ashlee's future Hollywood success. The site quotes him as saying: "She [Ashlee] said, 'But it's cool, it's edgy, it's different,' and of course the filmmakers were like, 'It's cool for a woman to be a lesbian.' But I changed it. It doesn't work for her to be gay the first thing out. She's going to be a huge movie star." So that's that sorted.
