Avril's China tour confirmed

Ticketmaster has confirmed Avril Lavigne's Chinese tour, with tickets on sale for a 4 October Shanghai show and five other dates.

Avril Lavigne is presumably assumed to be 'safe' by Chinese authorities, despite a recent crack down on Western performers playing in China following Bjork's Tibet moment. Lavigne's recently reported Chinese tour has been confirmed by Ticketmaster, who are now selling tickets for a 4 Oct gig in Shangai. Five other Chinese dates are due to take place in late September and early October. A Ticketmaster press release reads thus: "This will be Avril's first full-production tour in China, featuring sophisticated stage settings and an upgraded collection of hit songs... and a pink piano". Pink piano's, presumably, aren't considered a political threat by the Chinese powers that be.
