Beckham set for Pop Idol judging

Victoria Beckham is reportedly being lined up as a judge on Pop Idol series two, according to Louis Walsh speaking to The Sun.

Word is Victoria Beckham will be following in Geri’s footsteps and sitting on the judging panel for the next series of Pop Idol. The role may be part of an attempt to kick start her solo career – after limited success with Virgin, Beckham now hopes to get back in the charts via her deal with Telstar.

The news was broken by Popstars judge Louis Walsh who told The Sun: "Victoria Beckham is being lined up to star as a judge on Pop Idol Two. She has seen what Geri has done on Popstars: The Rivals and thinks she could appear as a nice judge on Pop Idol. Victoria has approached producers and expressed an interest in appearing, but it's early days yet."

Producers are reported to be interested in getting Simon Cowell, Pete Waterman and Nicki Chapman back to judge in series two, and Walsh himself is a favourite to appear. Ant and Dec are likely to be back as presenters.
