This year's venue for Radio 1's Big Weekend has been announced. The free music fest will take place from 10 - 11 May at Mote Park, Maidstone, and will feature a performance from Scouting For Girls. A new stage has been added, the BBC Introducing stage, with the intention of giving a platform to new and emerging talent.
Most of the tickets will go to residents of Maidstone and Kent, with Radio 1 listeners asked to submit their details to be part of a postcode lottery type thing.
