Black Eyed Peas' will.i.am under investigation after Berlin brawl

Black Eyed Peas' will.i.am is under police investigation after a brawl at Berlin club 40seconds, with club manager Torsten Schermall blaming the band's bodyguards.

Black Eyed Pea will.i.am is under police investigation after a brawl broke out at an after show party on Thursday in Berlin. Will.i.am, real name William Adams, is alleged to have taken part in the fracas that took place at the city's 40seconds club. A police spokesman believes that the fight broke out between a doorman and one of the group's bodyguards, adding: "A champagne bottle was used, but as far as what the singer did, there are various reports that contradict one another, and it's not yet clear what happened."

All three men were taken into custody for statements and contact details before being released; the other two, the doorman and the bodyguard, have not been named, but all three may face charges of causing bodily injury and causing serious bodily injury.

No comment from the band as yet, but club manager Torsten Schermall has spoken out, blaming the Peas' bodyguards for allowing the VIP section to become overfull with guests, and saying that the fight broke out when his security guard told the bodyguards not to let any more people through. One witness said: "It was a witches' cauldron. I haven't ever seen anything so brutal. They were at each other for five minutes."
