It's getting serious in Bloc Party world with reports suggesting that the band are now a target for queen of pop Madonna. The 'Die Another Day' star had apparently been trying to meet the band backstage at a gig, only to get rebuffed by a dimwitted (and presumably poor sighted) security guard who didn't recognise Madge, and thus forcibly prevented her from entering. Lead singer Kele Okereke explains: "When she came in, he [the guard] alerted security and security dragged her out. In a headlock. It was really surreal, and everyone stopped speaking. And all we could hear is Madonna cursing and saying she's gonna kill these guys. She's really tough because of all that Pilates that she does, so she got out of the headlock quite easily". Brilliant.

Madonna reportedly tried to enter a Bloc Party backstage area and was dragged out by security, after which she was heard threatening to kill the band, according to Kele Okereke.
