Bloc Party preview album tracks at Royal Albert Hall

Bloc Party previewed five songs from their upcoming second album at a Teenage Cancer Trust benefit concert at the Royal Albert Hall, where singer Kele Okereke spoke of playing there before.

Bloc Party previewed songs from their upcoming second album when they played their previously reported gig in aid of the Teenage Cancer Trust at the Royal Albert Hall earlier this week. In addition to playing older tracks such as 'She's Hearing Voices' and 'Banquet', the band played five new songs destined to appear on their new long player. Singer Kele Okereke told the crowd: "This is actually the second time we've played at the Royal Albert Hall. Last time I was here I played with the school district choir when I was 12 years old," adding at the end of the concert: "It was definitely better second time around at the Royal Albert Hall. We'll see you next time we play here."
