Jon Bon Jovi has raised objections to the name of a new brand of energy drink, because, says the rocker, it's too similar to his own name. The coffee based product is named Mijovi, which sounds exactly like 'Jon Bon Jovi'. Or perhaps not. He's also not happy with a tagline being used by the product, in particular the use of the phrase/made up word 'itsmilife', which apparently too much resembles the title of the singer's hit track 'It's My Life'.
Owner Marcos Carrington insists that that the drink is named after his girlfriend Jovita, which seems at least as likely as its being named after some random pop star, but Bon Jovi's lawyer has apparently sent a letter demanding that he "cease and desist all further use of the name 'Mijovi' and 'It's My Life'". Carrington has said that he's willing to drop the tagline, but intends to keep the name of the product as it is.
