Bowie storms Moby's Area2

David Bowie reportedly stole the show at Moby's Area2 festival, opening with a near-acappella 'Life on Mars' and playing material from 'Heathen', despite intense heat affecting ticket sales.

The Moby music festival Area2 got critical acclaim this weekend, though intense heat affected overall ticket sales. It was as an eclectic a mix as you’d expect from Moby with Ash, Busta Rhymes, Carl Cox, and John Digweed amongst those performing. But word is that it was David Bowie, appearing directly before Moby himself, who stole the show, as he has a habit of doing these days. He opened with a near-acappela version of ‘Life on Mars’ and followed it up with a good mix of tracks from new album ‘Heathen’ and classics like ‘Ashes to Ashes’ and ‘China Girl’. His encore featured ‘Let's Dance’ and new track ‘Everyone Says Hi’.
