Brands line up to advertise during VMAs

Numerous brands are reportedly vying for advertising slots during MTV's Video Music Awards on 29 August, which could match last year's $29 million income.

Word is numerous brands are attempting to grab the advertising minutes that appear during MTV's VMA awards - which takes place on 29 Aug. With such demand for the multi-million dollar advertising packages, MTV are likely to pass the income made during last year's VMA screening - $29 million. Why such an interest in advertising during the VMAs? Could it be that America is planning to tune in to see what might happen at the first major MTV produced live broadcast since that half time show at the Superbowl?
