More from the Britney file (or filing cabinet, to be precise), and news that the singer is being investigated by the LA Department Of Children And Family Services because of issues relating to Spears' parenting skills (or lack of) which have been raised during her acrimonious custody battle with ex-husband Kevin Federline. The DCFS has requested that the current temporary custody arrangement, which limits Spears' access to her two children, be kept in place until they complete their investigations.
The specifics of those investigations are unknown, though they are reportedly looking into concerns the popstress is guilty of "multiple child abuse and neglect" towards her two sons. The investigation will also involve the Fed, though it is not clear in what context. As previously reported, Spears' legal people have been trying to limit how many court documents relating to the custody battle are handed over to the DCFS on the grounds the size of the department means there is a high risk the confidential papers will be leaked to the press.
Elsewhere in Britney news, and from the drawer marked "bizarre", it's been reported, albeit in the Daily Star, that Spears and her friends have a video of her one time party partner Paris Hilton partaking in some lesbian kissing, and that they are threatening to leak it online if the pointless socialite is rude to or about them. Here's what the Star's source says: "Britney and her pals wrote to Paris and told her they are hearing rumours of a new sex tape scandal - similar to the One Night In Paris footage her ex-boyfriend Rick Salomon put on the web four years ago. The letter also claims the tape shows footage of Paris locking lips with one of Britney's female friends at a party. It warns Paris that if she continues being rude to people, the footage will be leaked online. Britney and her pals also end their note by telling Paris they look forward to hearing back from her".
The tab says that Spears is especially angry with Hilton because she failed to wish her a happy birthday when they walked past each other in Bel-Air last weekend. It also adds that Hilton has received the note but isn't worried, with a source on that side saying: "It's obvious Britney and her bratty pals are being silly. Paris laughed when she got the letter, supposedly from Britney and said it was 'crap'".
